School Uniform
At South Street Primary School our aim is for all students to wear full school uniform every day.
Our school uniform creates a strong sense of belonging, pride and connection to the South Street Primary School community. It is comfortable, practical and designed for everyday learning and play.
Families can purchase school-branded uniform items online through the Shop feature in Compass or in person from the school uniform shop during school hours.
- Compass orders can be delivered to students or collected from the office when requested in the order comments.
- The uniform shop accepts card and cash payments.
- Please bring the correct change when paying with cash, as only a small amount of cash is kept at school.

Other Uniform Items
A navy-and-white checked school dress without a logo may be purchased from any store.
Plain navy items without logos or visible brand names may be purchased from any store. Shorts and skorts must be an appropriate length.
Students may wear any appropriate fully enclosed shoes. Thongs, open-toed sandals, steel-capped boots and gumboots are not permitted.
A dedicated Grade 6 polo shirt and jacket are available exclusively for Grade 6 students.
Coats, puffer jackets and other non-school jackets may be worn outside during recess and lunchtime but must be removed inside classrooms.
Uniform Support
Families requiring assistance may request an annual uniform voucher valued at $85. Vouchers are valid for 90 days and can be redeemed at the school uniform shop on normal school days between 8:15am and 4:00pm.
Families needing assistance with non-logo items—including school shoes, socks, pants and shorts—can contact the school about ordering through State Schools’ Relief.
Eligible Prep students receiving Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund support may also access a Prep CSEF Uniform Package through State Schools’ Relief. The package includes generic navy school pants, school shoes and socks. Please contact the Front Office for help with eligibility, sizing and ordering.

Please clearly label every uniform item. Lost property can be collected from the Lost and Found cupboard at the school office.
